A State Pays Respects To A Departed Leader

State Labor Commissioner, Mark Costello's body lied in repose on the 2nd floor rotunda of the state capitol.

Costello's family graciously greeted all the public who filled the halls and patiently waited to express their compassion and sympathy for the family.

The capitol staff and State Department of Public Safety helped to provide an appropriate and dignified opportunity for the state's citizens to express their condolences.

Mark's family and other relatives showed remarkable grace and strength through the day.

A great sense of unity and "Oklahoma Strong" was apparent as the people all over the state came to help ease the hurt of a suffering family.

Legislative staff and Republican volunteers helped organize a candlelight vigil at sunset to complete the official state ceremonies for a departed state leader whose life ended tragically.
