Republicans Blame Chamber Influence In House Defeat

Republican State Senator, Paul Wesselhoft
Rep. Paul Wesselhoft (R - Moore, OK) said;
"THE STATE CHAMBER LOSSES AGAIN!

Democrat Cyndi Munson beating Republican Chip Carter is a huge defeat for the Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce! Paying members need to fire Fred Morgan!"
  Wesselhoft had been the target of an OK Chamber effort to unseat him and bring in a pro-chamber candidate.
Democrat Cyndi Munson defeated the heavily-funded campaign of Republican, Chip Carter; 54% - 46%.
Chip Carter is a huge defeat for the Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce!
  Statewide, county chairmen are already pointing fingers and sparking social media debate:

   Rogers County GOP Chairman, David Green said;
"Today is an election day, but there is no post about it ... I do have a problem with.... ignoring a special election. Does anyone know who is responsible....? I'm posting as a County Chairman who has a special election coming up in my county."
GOP nominee, Chip Carter
  Others explain that the district (Governor Fallin's former house district) is really not a 'safe' Republican district.  Perhaps a splintered and apathetic Oklahoma County GOP had a hard time healing from a bruising primary and a county chairman more focused on bringing down the state chairman.
  It's not like the Carter campaign didn't work the district. They did. But too many Republicans stayed home, today. Many in the Republican Party were questioning the ethical fitness of Chip Carter, given that he did not passionately renounce the dark money slanderous mailers which defamed his primary opponents.
