Judiciary Committee leaves town during capitol hearings.
A packed capitol hearing room listened intently to several experts from around the nation, exposing the vast potential for corruption in the civil asset forfeiture process.Some victims of due-process neglect also shared stories which point to the need for state oversight of civil liberties.
