The Tulsa 912 Project produced a
voter guide for the upcoming special election for Tulsa County Sheriff. Our good friends at
Fortysix News have posted the results on their site, for your reading convenience.
The questionnaire is well done and very comprehensive. The candidates were allowed to respond in their own words and Tulsa 912 wisely left those responses unedited, so that voters get the fullest understanding of the candidates.
The election will be held in tandem with the presidential primary, next Tuesday.

 In preparation for March 1, 2016 election, Tulsa 9.12 Project reached out to all of the Republican candidates for sheriff with a short questionnaire to give constituents a side-by-side comparison of the candidates. The questionnaire covers education, experience and issues of importance to Tulsa county voters.
The candidates are running to replace longtime Sheriff, Stanley Glanz who submitted his resignation effective Nov. 1, 2015, prompting the special election to fill the remainder of his term through Dec. 31, 2016.
Glanz resigned following a grand jury investigation in the wake of a deadly shooting involving Reserve Deputy Robert Bates. That grand jury investigation led to three misdemeanor indictments against the former sheriff.

There are so many good and qualified candidates, it can be overwhelming in making a choice. It is our hope that this voter guide will offer some clarity of the candidates to Tulsa county voters."

Tulsa 9.12 Project made multiple attempts to reach out to all candidates. Candidate Vic Regalado failed to respond and Bill Reaves was unable to be reached. The candidates were issued the same questions, all answers appear as they were submitted. Candidates are listed in the order in which their submissions were returned.
