A Cannabinoid Medical Breakthrough

  I've watched to many relatives die slowly and painfully from cancer.  Morphine ended up being the last medication they turned to in their intense pain.
  Imagine if the govt. had made Morphine illegal, arguing that it's just Opium? And imagine if the Opium had some derivatives that actually cured ailments and recovered health?

  Well, there are derivatives of Hemp which have great capabilities to restore health and bring relief from many serious ailments; yet lawmakers lack the courage or knowledge needed to get out of the way of our medical professionals who administer medications for the benefit of the suffering patients who seek relief and healing.

  The federal govt. has confirmed many essential medical facts about hemp derivatives known as cannabinoids:

1. Cannabinoids are active chemicals in Cannabis that cause drug -like effects throughout the body, including the central nervous system and the immune system. 
2. Cannabinoids can be taken by mouth, inhaled, or sprayed under the tongue. 
3. Cannabis and cannabinoids have been studied in the laboratory and the clinic for relief of pain, nausea and vomiting, anxiety, and loss of appetite. 
4. Cannabis and cannabinoids may have benefits in treating the symptoms of cancer or the side effects of cancer therapies. There is growing interest in treating children for symptoms such as nausea with Cannabis and cannabinoids, although studies are limited. 
5. Two cannabinoids (dronabinol and nabilone) are drugs approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the prevention or treatment of chemotherapy -related nausea and vomiting. 
6. Cannabis has been shown to kill cancer cells in the laboratory

  Please support the initiative petition which Oklahomans are circulating, to allow the medical professionals to better care for the suffering people.  Oklahomans For Health has worked very hard and committed great resources to the effort of educating our electorate and our lawmakers. It is finally getting results.

  I'm a teetotaller for over 30 years. This has never been about finding a way to get a cheap high or waste more of my life in a self-induced pseudo-paralysis.
