Eastern Oklahoma seems almost completely spared from this quake phenomenon. The fault lines of Oklahoma's geological formation seem to be the key to understanding and even predicting how petroleum injection wells will impact the stability of the earth under our homes.
In the 20th century, Oklahoma have just a handful of noticeable tremors per year. Now the state has a handful every day. None have registered higher than 6.0 magnitude on the Richter scale or led to a loss of life.
The problems seem to be isolated to just a few locations in the state.
